PATIENT PROFILE
People that wish a better-looking gluteus but cannot be improved with other procedures.
It is frequent on mature women, but also in men and after diets with big weight loss.
Also in women that wish to wear a swimsuit and show their legs and gluteus even if they present a scar that is hidden with the underwear like in an abdominoplasty or a dermo lipectomy.
PROCEDURE
This procedure is made through an incision that does not surpass the intergluterine fold limit, in other words, the vertical fold between the buttocks cheeks. Sometimes it is made through a horizontal incision, like in a dermo lipectomy or abdominoplasty but in the gluteal zone, at the underwear high, hided by the underpants, and sometimes through an incision under each butt cheek.
Sometimes muscular fascia rotations can be done like a method to elevate and support muscle and fat fall on the zone. This anchorage enables elevating and projecting the area in a more adequate way, contributing to firmness and projection to the gluteus. Gluteus lifting can be complemented with fat grafts and small intramuscular prosthesis that even project more the contour if it is wished.

What can I expect after surgery?
After surgery, the patient may feel somewhat uncomfortable with mild pain. This discomfort is controlled by the use of analgesics and anti-inflammatories. The bandage along with the drains will be left in place for the first 24 hours and swelling may persist for some time. It is necessary to lie on your stomach for the first 24 hours, and then gradually resume normal activities. We advise according to each technique, the postoperative can be from 24h to 1 or 2 weeks. Then lean on the sides at bedtime until the swelling gradually subsides.
