PATIENT PROFILE
People who for genetic or environmental reasons (tiredness, lack of sleep, stress, excessive sun exposure…) have excess skin on the eyelids that ages the eyes.
PROCEDURE
Blepharochalasis is the scientific name given to this type of pathology that is manifested by the excess skin that forms on the eyelids, whether on the upper, lower or both.
Blepharoplasty is one of the most common operations to rejuvenate the eye and can be combined with the removal of bags or other desired improvements of the patient.
The skin of the upper eyelid is trimmed through the palpebral sulcus (physiological wrinkle between the eyebrows and eyelashes).
The skin of the lower eyelid is stretched as a facelift removing a small amount to avoid the effect of lagophthalmos or drooping eye, a stigma that has unfortunately been very common and is still seen when the operation is not performed by expert hands, because you can get very good results of removal of excess skin in the lower eyelid.
