Breast augmentation and liposuction are the aesthetic surgery interventions most demanded in Spain. The 16.48% of the operations, in addition, are to correct others carried out by inadequate professionals.
With the arrival of autumn, interest in cosmetic surgery operations increases, which, according to a survey by the Spanish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (SECPRE), increases during the year until reaching its maximum level in the spring, where 66% of demand is concentrated in Spain.
According to the doctor Ainhoa Placer, vocal of communication of the SECPRE, “after the summer the patients are considering gradually the possibility of undergoing an intervention of aesthetic surgery, and the most remiss make the decision, at the latest, in the spring. Thus, the postoperative period will be completed in time for the next monitor and the higher incidence of sunlight will not affect the proper healing of the intervened areas. “
The ranking of this type of surgeries is headed by breast augmentation operations (26.3% of those performed in Spain), followed by liposuction (20.9%) and, thirdly, abdominoplasty, which has grown considerably by the boom of the diets, exercise and bariatric surgeries (stomach reduction).
There is a problem that worries the specialists, and that is that they currently perform 16.48% of their interventions to correct other «defective or of poor quality after having been practiced in centers or by inadequate professionals». And is that only 34.83% of Spaniards who undergo an operation of cosmetic surgery are informed of the qualification of the doctor who is going to perform, according to data from the same report. “This circumstance,” says Dr. Ana Jiménez, complicates the new interventions from the clinical point of view, leads to obvious emotional disorders for patients and supposes an extra cost, either for them or for the national health system if the intervention has generated any problem functional and, consequently, its correction is covered by the public health system »
On the other hand, the experts note a growing phenomenon: “one in ten patients turn to a plastic surgeon influenced by the massive diffusion of images of themselves and the consequent opinion of other people about them”. In other words: the selfie phenomenon has already reached the operating rooms.

The lifting or facelift is one of the most requested operations, although in recent years there has been a noticeable increase in blepharoplasty, to correct the drooping of the upper eyelids and lower bags, which make us look older and more tired.

The technique, which is always performed in an operating room, consists essentially in the aspiration of the fat through the introduction of a cannula that is connected to a vacuum machine or to a special syringe, as the case may be. The results of a liposuction should not be evaluated before a minimum of three months has elapsed.

INCREASE OF MOMS
The most practiced is breast augmentation, although reductions or elevations are also made. Many women want an increase after a pregnancy or breastfeeding that has been left empty and the chest has fallen.

THE BUM OF GENITAL SURGERY
In recent years genital aesthetic surgery has doubled, although it is still a small percentage. The labiaplasty (reduction of the vaginal lips) and the vaginal rejuvenation are in the lead.
Otoplasty and rhinoplasty
Correct, respectively, the ears and the nose. Rhinoplasty can decrease or increase the size of the nose, change the shape of the tip or back, narrow the nostrils or change the angle between the nose and the upper lip.
Abdominoplasty
Abdominoplasty is usually performed on patients who have experienced a large weight gain and, either through surgical interventions, such as bariatric surgery, by following a diet or by the continued practice of physical exercise, they have subsequently lost it, as well as women who have had several pregnancies.
