Rhinomodelation consists of improving small depressions or nasal defects by injecting hyaluronic acid or calcium hydroxyapatite to leave the dorsum straighter. It is an intervention that we perform in the same office of Clínica Sanza, in Barcelona.
Rhinomodelation is used by many patients who do not need to go into the operating room, they just want to correct small defects that give them a complex but are not a big deal. What it does is to equalize or augment certain areas of the nose to give it more harmony with the rest of the face.

How long do the results of injecting hyaluronic acid into the nose last?
The duration of hyaluronic acid once injected into the nose can vary depending on several factors. In general, the duration of the results can range from 12 to 18 months or even longer if the product is of high quality.
Hyaluronic acid is a resorbable material, which means that over time it is broken down and metabolized naturally in the body. The rate of resorption can be affected by the concentration and cross-linking of the hyaluronic acid used, as well as the individual’s location and metabolism.
In areas that are not as exposed to movement, such as the nose, the results may last longer than in areas with movement, such as the lips.
It is important to keep in mind that the duration of results can also be affected by post-treatment care and individual lifestyle habits.
How is hyaluronic acid injected?
Hyaluronic acid is carefully injected into the skin layers using a fine needle or cannula. Sometimes several punctures are necessary to distribute the product well and obtain an optimal result.

This surgery is widely practiced in small noses with oriental or negroid features that want a more prominent or straight nose but also in noses with small humps, which instead of scraping or filing them, are better left by injecting calcium hydroxyapatite or hyaluronic acid in the nasal root and between the dorsum and nasal tip to leave them straighter.
