The labia majora enlargement surgery at Clínica Sanza in Barcelona, Spain, consists of filling the outer lips of the vulva with the patient’s own fat or hyaluronic acid.
PATIENT PROFILE
Young and mature women with a distended or atrophic labia majora, consequence of giving birth or specific diets.
Sex change.
PROCEDURE
Age, vaginal atrophy, weight loss and other genetical skin factors and patient physical constitution, can condition vaginal outer lip laxity loss.
This atrophy can be corrected in a simple way through a labia majora refill with the patient’s own fat, taken from another body part, after processing it, it will then be injected in the area to be treated. If there is extreme thinness, hyaluronic acid can be used.
The fat graft is the actual best option and the most durable, also the most recommendable for all women that have atrophy defects.
Sometimes it is associated with the interior lips being exposed as they are laxer than the labia majora. The both procedures can be done at the same time (called intimate feminine surgery).

What are the problems that can be improved with female intimate surgery?
There are birth problems as well as other problems added by age, childbirths, accidents, etc. that alter the aesthetics of the external female genitalia. What do these interventions consist of?

What is Labia Minora Reconstruction?
It is a small intervention that removes excess mucous membrane from the lips, giving symmetry and harmony, with a more youthful appearance and aesthetics, without affecting the sensitivity.
It is performed under local anesthesia, ambulatory and a recovery period of 3 to 5 days.
What is pubic liposculpture?
It is a procedure in which it is possible to eliminate the excess of fat or to give volume, according to the case, of the mount of Venus. It is performed with local anesthesia or sedation, ambulatory and must carry a fajita for 7 to 10 days.
What is a lip augmentation?
It is a surgery in which the labia majora can be filled with the patient’s own fat or with hyaluronic acid. We practice it in cases in which age and other factors generate loss of turgidity and volume of the labia majora.
Is it possible to perform micro grafts of pubic hair?
Yes, the loss of pubic hair can affect the aesthetics of the area and give an appearance of senility. In these necessary cases it is feasible to make micro implants to improve the density or fill specific areas. Nowadays it is more unused because of the fashionable English and/or depilated pubis.
What is Vaginoplasty?
Births, age, weight and other factors can condition a laxity of the vaginal canal which is progressive and can affect the quality of intimate relationships. In this situation it can be corrected by means of a simple surgery, in which we narrow the vaginal canal and give it a more youthful appearance, strength and a restored muscular tone.
What is required to perform these procedures?
Obviously a prior assessment by the cosmetic surgeon, and if a repair is necessary, the patient must take a blood test. Most of these procedures are outpatient, and under local anesthesia or sedation. After the intervention you have to be under observation for a couple of hours and then you can go home. The daily routine can be resumed after 5 to 7 days. When it comes to exercise, sports and intimate relationships you should wait a month.
Can the hymen be left as if it were a virgin?
Yes, this intervention called Himenoplasty is very requested by women whose culture obliges them to marry virgins, that is to say, without having had previous relations.
What is Hymenoplasty and does it hurt?
Small cuts are made in the vaginal introitus, i.e. the vagina entrance, and the vaginal mucosa is sutured in such a way that the entrance to the vagina is closed as it was before intercourse. It’s not painful.
