Hyaluronic acid filler in the corner of the lips.
-Marionette Lines

In aesthetic medicine, the lpuppet lines refer to wrinkles or furrows that form from the end of the nasolabial fold (the line that runs from the nose to the corner of the lips) to both sides of the chingenerating a downward appearance similar to the folds of the mouths of puppets. These lines are named for their similarity to the facial features of puppets.

Marionette lines are a sign of facial aging and can cause a sad expression on the face. Some factors that contribute to its appearance are genetic inheritance, the passage of time and sun exposure. With aging, facial tissues undergo changes, such as fat loss and decreased collagen and elastin production. These changes may result in the formation of more pronounced marionette lines. Sun exposure and other environmental factors can also contribute to the deterioration of the skin’s elastic fibers.

One of the simplest, quickest and most economical ways to solve this problem is hyaluronic acid filler.

How long do the results of injecting hyaluronic acid into marionette lines last?

The duration of hyaluronic acid once injected in the area of the corner of the lips, marionette lines, can vary depending on several factors. In general, the duration of the results can range from a few months to more than a year.

Hyaluronic acid is a resorbable material, which means that over time it is broken down and metabolized naturally in the body. The rate of resorption can be affected by the concentration and cross-linking of the hyaluronic acid used, as well as the individual’s location and metabolism.

It is important to keep in mind that the duration of results can also be affected by post-treatment care and individual lifestyle habits. Maintaining a good skin care routine, avoiding excessive sun exposure and following the recommendations of the medical or esthetic professional will help prolong the results.

It is essential to remember that the specific duration of hyaluronic acid can vary from person to person, as each individual has unique characteristics and metabolizes hyaluronic acid differently. To obtain an accurate assessment and to know the expected duration in your particular case, it is advisable to consult with a qualified medical or aesthetic professional who can evaluate your needs and provide you with personalized recommendations.

If you do not like the result, it is reversible

One of the fears of people who come to aesthetic medicine offices asking for a filler for the corner of the lips, marionette lines, is that they will not like the result. If you are afraid that your lip corners, marionette lines, have too much volume or if you don’t like the shape, it can be left as it was. The most important thing with this treatment is that the result is natural and matches your face.

HYALURONIDASE ! this magic word is your peace of mind.

It is an enzyme that has the ability to degrade hyaluronic acid. In the field of aesthetic medicine, hyaluronidase is used to dissolve hyaluronic acid in cases where you do not like the result, due to complications or adverse reactions caused by hyaluronic acid dermal fillers.

Can I socialize or work the next day?

Yes, you do not need to rest unless you have a profession with risk of hitting the area. What we advise is to avoid going to the gym for the first two days.

You may have small bruises that go away in 24 to 48 hours and minimal swelling.

How is hyaluronic acid injected into the corner of the lips, marionette lines?

Hyaluronic acid is carefully injected into the skin layers using a fine needle or cannula. Sometimes several punctures are necessary to distribute the product well and obtain an optimal result.

Don’t just go anywhere. It is essential to keep in mind that learning how to inject hyaluronic acid safely and effectively requires proper training and in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy, injection techniques and the appropriate choice of hyaluronic acid for each patient. Performing these injections without proper training and experience can have risks, such as injury, swelling, bruising or allergic reactions in the patient.
