PATIENT PROFILE

Young and mature women with loss of turgor or atrophy of the labia majora prematurely, or due to childbirth or major regimens.

Sex changes.

PROCEDURE

Age, virginal atrophy, weight reductions as well as many other genetic factors of the skin and the constitution of the patient, can condition the loss of turgor of the labia majora.

Such atrophy can be corrected in a very simple way by filling the labia majora with the patient’s own fat, which is taken from another part of the body and, after processing, is injected into the area to be treated. In case of very thinness, hyaluronic acid can also be used.

Fat grafting is currently the best and most durable option, as well as the most recommended for any woman who has this small lip atrophy defect.

Sometimes, it is associated with an exposure of the labia minora which are often more lax than normal and wanting to repair both at the same time (called female intimate surgery).

What are the problems that can be improved with female intimate surgery?

What do these interventions consist of?

What is Labia Minora Reconstruction?

It is a small procedure that removes excess mucosa from the lips, giving symmetry and harmony, with a more youthful and aesthetic appearance, without affecting sensitivity. It is performed under local anesthesia, on an outpatient basis, with a recovery period of 3 to 5 days.

What is Liposculpture of the pubis?

It is a procedure in which excess fat can be eliminated or volume can be added, as the case may be, to the mons pubis. It is performed under local anesthesia or sedation, on an outpatient basis, and a bandage must be worn for 7 to 10 days.

What does labia majora augmentation consist of?

It is a surgery in which the labia majora can be filled with fat from the same patient or with hyaluronic acid. We practice it in cases in which age and other factors generate loss of turgor and volume of the labia majora.

Is it possible to perform micro grafts of pubic hair?

Yes. Loss of pubic hair can affect the aesthetics of the area and give an appearance of senility. In these necessary cases it is feasible to make micro implants to improve density or fill specific areas. Nowadays it is more in disuse as it is fashionable to have shaved groins and/or pubis.

What does Vaginoplasty consist of?

Childbirth, age, weight and other factors can cause laxity of the vaginal canal, which is progressive and can affect the quality of intimate relations. In this situation can be corrected by a simple surgery, in which we narrow the vaginal canal and get a more youthful appearance and with the strength and tone that had in youth.

What is required to carry out these procedures?

Obviously a previous assessment by the cosmetic surgeon, and in case the repair is necessary, a medical history must be taken and a blood test must be requested. Most procedures are performed on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia or sedation. After the procedure, you will be observed for a couple of hours and then you can go home. Normal work can be resumed after 5 to 7 days, exercise, sports and intimate relations after one month.
